There's simply no better way to enjoy the summer than an inshore fishing trip with Captain Mac! He's fished around Gulf Shores, AL for fifteen years, and you can be sure that he'll put you right where the fish are! Shallow inshore water provides perfect habitat for several sportfish species, especially the "Big Three" of Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. There are also plenty of chances to hook Sheepshead, which share the same environment....Read More
These species are perfect inshore opponents that fight hard and love to bite on a range of lures and baits. There's nothing like pulling some big ol' Red off the flats, whether it's your first fish or your hundredth!
You'll be fishing aboard Captain Mac's 24' Triton SeaFlight center console. She's perfect for this kind of trip, and she's powered by a powerful Suzuki 200-HP outboard, so you can spend less time cruising and more time fishing. The boat is equipped with a GPS, fishfinder, live bait well, and an icebox for your keepers.
When you come aboard with Captain Mac, you'll be provided all the tackle and bait that you need. All you need to bring is food, drinks (no glass please), sunscreen, sunglasses, and a cooler for your catch. Fish cleaning is also available, so you can take home a delicious dinner!
You can catch the Dauphin Island-Fort Morgan ferry every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Please visit https://mobilebayferry.com/schedule/ for the daily schedule and pricing.
Captain Mac moved to Gulf Shores 15 years ago, and has been wearing 'em out ever since. He’s been fishing his whole life, and finally decided to make a living out of his passion. His greatest pleasure in this job is seeing people smiling as they catch their first fish—"Nothing better than seeing a child reel in their first!" He's participated in the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo every year for the past 5 years, and has been killing it!

Capt Mac and his first mate Kaleb worked hard to put and keep us on fish. We were very satisfied with our experience. We had a great time, even though the fish didn’t cooperate the whole time. Would definitely fish with Capt Mac again!
