Baja California Sur Fishing Reports (April 2024)

Cabo San Lucas this week can expect some excellent catches of marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi. The water temperature is warm, and the sea conditions are calm, making it perfect for fishing. Yellowfin tuna are also biting well this week, with fish weighing between 20-100lbs being caught. The tuna are being caught using cedar plugs and live bait, and the best locations for catching them are around the San Jaime Bank and the 1150 Spot. Mahi-mahi, also known as dorado, are also being caught in good numbers this week. They are being found in the same areas as the tuna, and they are being caught using lures and live bait. Mahi-mahi caught this week have been averaging between 10-30lbs, with a few larger fish also being caught. Marlin bite is off the hook. 25 marlin yesterday pacific side 25 miles from Cabo, Finger banks 50 miles going off for 3 weeks 100 bites a day. Striped Marlin Season will be hot like this through the winter! Book before the cooler water makes it when in come April.
