Fishing Reports from Dallas, Week of August 18th:

"Fork this week was good early morning but once the sun came up it was a struggle to get bit. Zman chatter bait is the bait of choice for us early. If it stays cloudy then we can throw it all day. Best bite early 2-5 ft. After 10 am deep crank baits over 22 ft worked best. Carolina rigs and Texas rigs still working but very slow. Big worms and Lake Fork baby ring fry best."-Marc

"This week at Fork the bite has been pretty good. Chatter bait shallow early doing very good and big crank baits off shore up in the day are good. Carolina rigs with flukes working on high spots like road beds and ridges best in 18-22 ft."-Marc

"Fork is fishing a little bit slower right now probably due to the heat just a bit. The early morning bite is the best with Zman chatter bait in 2-5 ft. The offshore bite is still there but slow. Best baits big worms on Texas rigs and Carolina rigs in 15-22 ft. Deep crank baits are working over 20-25 ft over structure and ledges."-Marc

"Lake Fork has slowed down but still catching a few early and late. Carolina rigs and Texas rigs with big worms working in 18-22 ft. Deep diving crank baits good over 25 ft in Shad patterns. Frogs working in and around grass but spotty."-Marc

"Finally got hot this week on Fork as well as the fishing picked up if you can take the heat . Big crank baits over deep water Shad patterns working best over 22-25 ft. Creek channel swings and long points best . Carolina rigs with big worms and Texas rigs with big worms working on points in 18-22 ft. Blue fleck best color ."-Marc
