"Fishing is starting to get hot just like the weather. Speckled Trout are starting to hold on reefs in East and West bays. Better bites for me have been on the outgoing tides. Redfish are holding along rock jetties along with the occasional Flounder. Fishing has been great so let's go fishing." - Captain Michael Meza

"It’s been a slow week overall. Post full moon and weekday time tides have been the major factors. We have been using artificial lures for the most part. And occasionally live shrimp. The weather has been better than we usually get this time of year with reasonable winds from all directions." - Captain Harry Arthur

"Quarantine or not, my family is going fishing! It’s the time of year that the Speckled Trout make their big run out to the spawning grounds and what a Spring it has been so far. I grew up fishing and my family loves to spend time outdoors so we are using this time to fish together.

The fishing has been incredible with limits almost every time we go. As long as the wind is right we are fishing the outside edges and bays and loading up on Speckled Trout. With all that being said, I’m ready to get back to work taking my clients on the the charter fishing trips of a lifetime.

Charter fishing trips are still open during the Covid-19 restrictions and we have plenty spots open to go chase Redfish and Speckled Trout. Our lodge is clean as a whistle and ready! It seems like most folks are ready to start getting things back to normal and what better way than with a charter fishing trip in the Louisiana marsh? One of the best things about a charter fishing trip after all this is that you can still limit the amount of people you are around. A couple close family members or co-workers is all you need to put a trip together. We can also safely accommodate groups as well. It’s really up to you. The main thing is, let’s start getting things back to normal and do it safely!

I have been fishing out of Shell Beach with my fiancé and my son Jimmy. We have bean tearing up the Speckled Trout on days when weather is right. The fishing has not even peaked yet and will only get better. We are catching nice sized trout too. Live shrimp from Campo’s marina is the ticket. That’s why I’m always up before sunrise getting the shrimp in the live well and getting the boat ready for my customers. I can’t wait to start seeing all of you again." - Captain Jimmy Corley

3) Grand Isle Fishing Report:

"This week for some reason has seen the Redfish move into deeper water. All of my good catches have been coming from 15' or deeper. Water clarity continues to be an issue. I am looking for clean water. And it's not North of the Saint John's River. Flounder bite has slown down this week and the Sea Trout seem to be more up the river.." - Captain Kyle Rodrigue

"Spanish Mackerel, Blackfin Tuna and King Mackerel have been chewing close to the shore and the Cobia migration is in full swing! We have found some very nice fish the last few weeks!" - Captain Tyler Allen
