Chris Jackson is a staple of the Texas fly fishing community. Having fished across the country from Maine to California to Key West, Chris has settled down right in the middle of it all on the Rainbow Trout rich Guadalupe River of New Braunfels, TX.
Chris is a full time fishing guide with over 30 years of fly fishing experience, taking him back to stocked ponds in northeast Texas. He caught his first trout on the fly in Colorado at age 12 while hiking the headwaters of the Rio Grande, and has been hooked every since.
Chris continues to fish and guide in Colorado throughout the summers and is always looking to share his experience with other anglers looking to fish the Texas Hill Country as well.
Chris will provide all rods, reels, tippet, and flies for your trip and only fishes the best as the owner of Action Angler Fly Shop & Outdoor Center.

Great Fly shop on Guadalupe River. Chris is the owner and really knows the river, he can set you up with latest gear and best flies to use. Dave usually works the store while Chris is guiding and is always up on daily hatches. Love these guys for caring so much about this river.

We had a great time floating the Guad last wk. Chris did an excellent job with fly selection and put us on a lot of good fish. The lunch was top-notch too, which was unexpected and better than most guides provide.
