Costa Rica is home to some of the world’s premier sportfishing, and the Osa Peninsula is the beating heart of this incredible fishery! The surrounding area has been described by National Geographic as "one of the most biologically intense places on Earth" and this is as true in the water as it on land. On this trip with Captain Charles, you'll depart Puerto Jimenez for a full day of amazing inshore fishing, targeting species including Roosterfish, Amberjack, Grouper, and Bonito....Read More
You'll utilize a range of techniques to bring in the prizewinners!. You can expect to troll for the fast topwater species, such as Bonito, and then drift over the reefs, dropping lines to find monster Rosterfish, Grouper, Amberjack, and other reef species. These species are a blast to fight, and Amberjack in particular have earned their nickname, "reef donkey", for their stubbornness. Whatever you catch, your captain is happy to clean it for you at the end of the trip, so you can go home with an excellent dinner as well as amazing pictures and memories.
You'll be heading out aboard Captain Charles' 30' Express center console. She's powered by twin Yamaha 300-HP engines, and is perfectly built to get you out to the best fishing grounds smoothly. She's also built for comfort, with a top to keep you out of the sun and seating for up to six people. Captain Charles will provide all the necessary gear, including rods, tackle, and bait. To maximize your experience on the water, bring along a pair of Polarized Sunglasses, Weather-appropriate Clothing, Sunscreen, and your Fishing License. Have a blast!
