Backcountry we are still finding some mangrove snapper and yellow jacks. No shortage of big sharks and cudas.

Sept and Oct are great months in the Florida Keys for mahi, tuna, billfish, wahoo, yellowtail, mangrove, mutton, grouper, permit, snook, redfish, AJ, yellow jack, deep dropping, trolling, chum a lot when anchored.

Offshore fishing has been on fire out of Marathon plenty of Mahi & Blackfin Tuna from 250 to the Humps 4" plastic squids orange & purple has been the best colors for us.

Lower keys flats fishing is still on fire, tarpon can be found on calmer mornings and a few straggler migrators can be found traveling. As the sun gets higher bonefish and permit can be found on any of the respective flats so long as the water doesnt get to hot....

Lower keys flats fishing is still on fire, tarpon can be found on calmer mornings and a few straggler migrators can be found traveling. As the sun gets higher bonefish and permit can be found on any of the respective flats so long as the water doesnt get to hot. Unfortunately low pressure systems are more abundant this time of year which brings a lot of wind clouds and rain which makes it hard to see some of the fish on the flats.
