In Galveston West Bay Reds and Flounder have been equally consistent on both artificials and live bait. Trout have been up and down as far as numbers per trip but will be picking up more and more as the month goes on.

Redfish is going crazy in Galveston bay. Using live shrimp fish close to standing rocks off the ship channel. The Galveston Jetties holding lots of pan fish along with some trout and drum fish. Overall fishing is good in the Galveston complex.

I continue to beat up on the red fish. The marsh has begun to fill back up. And the redfish are flooding in. We have been catching them with artificials and live shrimp. The trout bite has been slow for me. I just haven't been targeting them. Seems like we are having an early spring, water temperatures have already been in the upper 70 degrees. Wind will be the big issue going forward till June. This will only play into my hands, because I have bee catching fish in some very dirty water.

Capt Jonathan's experience & knowledge put us on over 2 dozen bull Reds on a day made for duck hunting, with rain 🌧 bands most of the trip. But like a good Capt, Jonathan knows not to fear the wind but to instead uses it as an advantage by fishing the consealed wind blown areas where the winds push the bait to the fish. Captain Leb was a great guide! It was my 2nd time red fishing. He gave me a lot of tips on how to fish for the red fish that were extremely helpful. We caught many red, black drum, and flounder and he filet out take homes to how we requested. I will definitely book with him again next year.

Captain Charles is a phenomenal guide. He was punctual, polite, operated his boat professionally, and made us feel comfortable. He put us on the specks right away. our first cast landed a keeper spec as soon as it hit the water. we ended up with 7 keeper specs and 2 drum. we caught a 19' 8" redfish but it was just a little shy of a keeper. Captain Charles really knows where they are and puts you on them! I highly recommend Captain Charles!
