Destin Fishing Excursion

The trip was awesome. We caught fish the entire time and had a great experience. Would go again in a heartbeat.

We really didn’t know where to turn for ...Read More booking a reputable and top notch fishing charter in Destin to since we hadn’t been out fishing in Destin before. So happy we found this charter and Capt. Michael! The day of our trip, Michael reached out early because the wind speed was fairly high (from a late storm the night before) and made the seas rough and difficult to spot fish. He was flexible and inquired if we wanted to chance it or was flexible in our plans in the event the wind didn’t slow down that day. We chose to reschedule our trip a day later and so glad we did. When talking with Capt Michael the next morning, he said his intuitions were correct and word from his fellow fishing charters were that fishing was extremely difficult that day where the wind was high. So happy he was upfront and honest with us about the weather and the potential for a lackluster experience due to the conditions. He was considerate of our experience and recommended we move to another day if our schedule allowed. So happy we did! The weather was perfect the next day and we landed some great fish as you can see. My father and sons absolutely raved about the experience we had with Capt Michael! If we were to do it again, we would’ve booked a full 8 hour day because we were just getting started hooking fish. Our time went by fairly fast! The fish were just starting to turn on late morning but we had to head in. Overall, we had an absolute fantastic time and we will have this memory to cherish! Thanks Capt Michael for sharing it with us. When we come down again, we certainly will be booking you again…and for a FULL DAY!

The trip was great Captain Michael got us out on time and kept us on the fish all day. He worked to keep us in the fish by moving from location to location. We were able to catch a cross section of fish, trigger, snapper, and even got into a nice pile of amber. Epic day on the water!

Captain Mike was such a great guide. He knew right where to go. We didn’t even have all 4 lines in the water before we started reeling them in. We were in contact with several other boats and they were not catching anything. Every fish we caught was take off ...Read More the hook and put in the cooler by Mike. while we were out Captain Mike pointed out dolphins and sea turtles to us. After the trip all of our catch was cleaned and put in separate bags so that we knew what kind of fish we were going to eat and what was the best way to cook each fish. Side note: The restaurant right behind the charter will cook your catch and give you a side and salad for $20. I can NOT recommend them enough. You can’t go wrong With Captain Mike.

He had us on fish the entire time and hubby even hooked into a nice sized sand shark as well. What a great adventure from start to finish. Would HIGHLY recommend and we will definitely be calling them again to re-book. It was also a bonus to have bathroom facilities on board - which you usually don’t find on a private charter unless you get a much more expensive trip. I’m telling ya - you can’t go wrong with Captain Mike.
