When Snapper season is in, everybody's trying to get in on the action! So if you want to head out with a guide who knows how to catch limits, Captain Taylor is your man!...Read More
Captain Taylors 40' infinity is Federally Permitted which means he can head beyond 9 miles offshore to hit the offshore reefs, rigs, and wrecks where all the big snapper hang out. These waters get less pressure than the state waters and usually result in quicker limits and bigger specimens! Once you're out there, Captain Taylor will chum up the water to get the snapper up off the reef and a little higher in the water column. Then you will drop some cut bait down on them and hope the biggest one hammers your hook, and get ready for a fight when it does!
Captain Patrick will provide all rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. All you need to bring is food and drinks for the day, a hat, and sunscreen. He will clean and fillet your day’s catch at the end of the trip, so make sure you bring a cooler to take it home.
A Destin native, Captain Taylor has been on the water as far back as he can remember, and he started his career at only 13 years old. He describes fishing as his passion and has always known it’s what he wanted to spend his life doing. His favorite part of what he does is seeing kids catch fish, especially when it’s their first time!...Read More
Taylor’s favorite fishing destination is Isla Mujeres, Mexico, where he spent a winter sail fishing. Blue Marlin are his favorite species of fish to catch but it’s a toss-up between yellowfin tuna and fresh scamp for his favorite to eat.
Taylor is full of fishing stories, but one of his favorites is from a slow day fishing with his buddies. Just as they were about to call the day, they found a string of black turtles and then moved from turtle to turtle, catching cobia after cobia until they were forced to stop because they ran out of bait and jigs!

Capt. Chip was our guide for the morning and it was a stunning day. Seas laid down a bit so we ran a few miles out to the reef. Caught a nice Jack and a Red Snapper. Put em back, so they’re still there for you. A few small grouper ...Read More too. Then headed along beach to troll for Mackerel. Had to reel them in fast because the dolphins kept stealing them once hooked. I’ve been on several charters and can say Chip was the friendliest of the bunch. Was great with the kids and pleasant to provide guidance and local knowledge. Will be back again for Tarpon soon. 👍😀☀️🎣🐟

Had a great time. Conner was very helpful and attentive to everyone onboard. We had three kids with us (plus 3 adults) so the space onboard was ok, but had it been all adults it would have been tight. Wouldn’t hesitate to use or recommend Destin Backcountry ...Read More Fishing again.

Our captain took us various places to try our hand at fishing. The gulf waters were too rough for the day, so the bay is where we stayed and might have been disappointed. On the contrary though, he agreed for our elderly aunt to join the trip and the memories ...Read More we made that day will live on for a lifetime in our family. We had an awesome time. It’s not always about how much you catch but about what you catch! Thank you Conner we had a blessed day on the water that day. We will remember this trip and tell stories forever!

We spent a great afternoon fishing. The weather was great. We caught a big variety of fish but not many of any of them. You just never know where the fish are going to be but it was great fun. Thank you Captain Conner for being so accommodating to us.
