You will have an amazing day fishing and he will absolutely keep you entertained. His boat and his equipment is top notch, you absolutely will not be disappointed for this experience at all. We thought we were pretty good fisherman but JP showed us how the professionals do it. JP coached us both but really took extra time to work with my grandson. He has a style that will have you laughing all day and most important catching fish. We lost count after 40 on a half day trip. Caught mostly Peacock and a few Large Mouth, Blue Gill, and Jaguar. JP preached about how to avoid the pesky Gars but we landed a couple, much to his chagrin, none the less. You can’t go wrong with the Bass Whisperer.

Cast after cast we were reeling in different types of fish & and catching so many that we couldn’t even take pictures of them all! But not to worry he was kind enough to take as many pictures as we asked for. He is a super friendly and fun person to be out on the beautiful waters of south Florida with. He made sure that safety was a priority but that it still felt like a great adventure we will definitely be booking with him to try one of his other locations as soon as we can get back down to Florida. I looked into many different charters and I’m so glad that I went with the bass whisperer. JP is a perfect guide for any level of fisherman, our next trip we will be bringing our children as well. This is definitely who you want by your side for an amazing memory that you’ll be talking about for years to come. I would recommend this trip to someone who is an inexperienced angler just hoping to ...Read More have a fun day in South Florida and catch some big fish. It would also be great for families. I’m a more experienced angler and was hoping for a bit of a different experience. I was hoping to use artificial lures and learn a couple new techniques, but we spent the whole day using live bait, which isn’t my style but is very effective for catching big fish. JP will likely recommend getting some wild native shiners at a local bait shop which are pricey ($24/dozen and he recommended 3 dozen). Heads-up, this comes out of your pocket (which is standard for Okeechobee tours). JP let us stay out an extra 2-hours to make sure we used all our bait which was very kind of him. An ideal trip for me would have been to get a dozen shiners to catch a few monsters and then spend the rest of the day on artificial lures. I should have been more up front about my expectations. Long story short, you’ll catch big fish with JP and have a good time, just make sure to set expectations up front.
