Captain Britt was great! By far the most knowledgeable fishing guide we have ever had. Ask to target peacock bass and on my third cast had one in the boat. In total we put 50+ fish in the boat in 6hrs. Had a great time, Thanks captain Britt!
I have a mixed review regarding Captain Brett. The night before our trip was to begin, he called to inform us that we needed a Florida fishing license. The description of the trip specifically said that no Florida license was required because the captain would have one for the entire
...Read More boat. We had to scramble to obtain one from the Florida recreation website. This also cost more than what they said was covered in the trip. We found out later that the captain simply did not want to wait in line to get his commercial fishing license for his boat, which he said was an all-day affair. He was making the customers obtain their own licenses. It wouldn't have been too big a deal if he or the Captain Experiences website would have informed us up front to give us time to make the arrangements.
On the positive side, the fishing conditions were challenging on the day of our trip with high winds, but Captain Brett stayed out with us long past our allotted four hours to insure we caught some fish. Both me and my brother-in-law eventually caught the two biggest Jack Crevalle we had ever landed. I did hook a tarpon. and fought him for about 15 minutes, before he got off the line.
Overall, it was a fun trip, but the licensing stress was unnecessary.
