Dolphin Spotting And Fishing

Captain Russell did a great job taking my three boys and I out for a half day fishing charter. We caught seven different species and had fish to take home and grill that night. I would book with him again next time I'm on vacation in the area!

Most of all we met Capt Russell a man who serves his community on land as a first responder (thank you for your service sir) and a man who brings happiness, creates lasting memories who is kind and professional and works hard to make it a great experience. Captain Russell was amazing and my family had a great experience. Captain Russell was more than understanding and adaptive to our needs. The trip started great but a couple of us got sea sick, captain Russell right away offered changes for us and helped get back to better area where ...Read More we were able to recover a little and then continue to fish. Right away we were able to catch some great fish out in sea before moving to bay where the boys were able to catch a number of fish and three sharks! Captain Russell was awesome the whole time by always having our poles baited and ready to go, fish off hooks, pictures taken, and explaining things along the way. Even when youngest wasn’t feeling fishing out for big fish, Captain Russell adapted and had him fish out of the live bait for the minnows we used to fish! Whenever we needed new bait he asked him to catch some bait and had him really part of our trip. All my boys could do at the end was talk about the trip and how it was the best fishing experience ever. We will 100% use Captain Russel again and would recommend him to those experienced, as well as those not so experienced. We are a great example of Captian Russell meeting the needs of all of us and giving us an experience of a lifetime.

Had a Monday morning trip scheduled originally, but a cold front was moving in and the chance for rough seas was pretty high. Luckily, I was there all week and was able to re-book later in the week on Thursday. This was an afternoon trip and the water was kinda ...Read More rough, but Capt. Russell’s boating expertise got us out there safely and timely considering. Started out kinda slow, but after a few different spots, we almost couldn’t keep up with the lines. I would recommend you check what’s in season before you go. What I was wanting to bring home, was not in season yet. I did catch one Mangrove or “gray” Snapper that was a keeper. Towards the end with just under an hour left, we hooked about 20 fish in 10 minutes. But we ended up just serving dinner to some dolphins on a silver platter lol! It was comical though and I engined playing tug o war with a dolphin LOL The dolphin was never hooked. They’re smart enough to stay away from the hook. I had an absolute blast even with one keeper! Capt. Russell definitely provided me with a hunger to Deep Sea dish more often. Just make sure you check the seasons and plan ahead on what you’re going to do if you need fish cleaned and filleted. I was crunched on time and only asked a couple places and they did not provide that service. There is supposedly someone there at the dock that does, but if you go out in the evening like I did, they’ll be gone when you get back.
