10 Hour Federally Permitted Offshore - 28’ Contender

While most offshore charters are restricted to staying within state water off the emerald coast (~9mi offshore), Captain Mike is Federally Permitted to run trips past state waters, meaning he can run day trips up to 40 miles offshore! At these depths the fish increase in both size and variety!

After you get settled in, and Captain Mike cranks up the engines, you will motor out anywhere from 10-40 miles offshore to do some trolling, deep-sea dropping, and fish catching! For these trips, you can expect to hook into the likes of Wahoo, King Mackerel, Snapper, Sharks, Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Bonita, Amberjack, Cobia, and Sailfish just to name a few, and there are plenty more species the Gulf can offer up! Captain Mike is even known to hook into a Tuna every once in a while trolling at these depths, but they are never a target for his trips.

While onboard, you are welcome to get as involved as you would like with your adventure as well, whether you'd rather lounge until the reel starts screaming or if you want your hand on the rod the whole time, Captain Mike can make it happen!
