Deep Dropping is definitely the method of choice if you are looking to put some delicious table fare in the box! Deep dropping is a newer style of fishing and the fishing grounds are still pristine, this is b/c deep water locations are usually way offshore and difficult to get to in most place, not Miami though! The beauty of Miami's offshore waters is that they are so close to the shore. A mere 30 min boat ride and you floating of hundreds of feet of water. With Captain Bryan to help rig you up, you'll drop cut baits down hundreds of feet to hook into some delicious bottom fish like Black belly Rose fish (your main target), Tilefish, Warsaw Grouper, and others! The other mysterious thing about Deep Dropping is that you never know what you'll pull up from the bottom of the deep blue! Captain Dino's half-day daytime options can be combined with his dockside nighttime adventures to create the full-day ultimate inshore sight-fishing opportunity. This means that a portion of the trip can be spent fishing the flats, inlets, nearshore, and even offshore waters (weather permitting), and then finished off by heading to the canals and inlet docks to hit hungry fish under the lights! In addition to Snook, don’t be surprised if you hook Jacks, Lookdowns, Ladyfish or an occasional Redfish or Snapper. How it works: Like moths to a light, baitfish gather in schools under dockside lanterns and specialty bulbs. And where there's bait... you know there's gonna be bigger fish looking to snag an easy meal. Snook are especially prone to feasting under the lights, along with Jacks, Lookdowns, the occasional Redfish and Snapper, and even Tarpon when they're migrating through. Head out with Captain Tyler for an epic offshore adventure chasing the elusive Swordfish! Your Captain will start the day by rigging and prepping specialty baits for this trip prior to your arrival. A stop at the bait patch is also necessary as you will be fishing your way out to the deep water; for these Swordfish trips, you will head offshore up to 30 miles. On top of chasing Swords, you can also have opportunities for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, and maybe even a Marlin on this trip as well. Once you get out to their swordfish spot, your Captain will deep drop one line then drift along the ledge for up to 1 hour at a time.
