START TIME DISCLAIMER: 4hr trip start at 8am and 12pm. 6hr trips start at 8am and 1pm. 8hr trips start at 8am only! The all-day trip is my favorite trip, it gives us a lot of time to try a bunch of different tactics to make the day as productive as possible. We can run offshore and look for birds and debris chasing mahi mahi, troll on the edge of the reef for wahoo sailfish and tuna, drop on wrecks for snappers and groupers. I usually will talk to the customers and put a game plan together to make there fishing experience as memorable as possible. In the 3/4 day trip, it allows us to do more than the half day trip. That includes trolling, live bait, kite fishing, bottom fishing, deep dropping, or shark fishing. Our fishery in south Florida changes throughout the year so we can run offshore for mahi or bottom fish for snappers or groupers. We usually like to talk to the customers about what they would like to target and what is in season and make a game plan from that. We like to fish hard and have fun doing it! In our half day trips depending on time of year or target species. We will troll, live bait, bottom fish, shark fish, or Kite fish. We will usually stay within 2 miles of the beach where most of the bait fish and bottom fish are. A half day charter could be right for you. These trips are also recommended for those prone to seasickness, or with young kids. Due to Captain Preston's close proximity to fishable waters, there is still a good amount of time to catch some quality fish. Trips typically run from 8am-12pm, or 1pm-5pm for these 4 hour adventures. **3/4 Day 6-Hour Trip** Can't decide between half-day and full-day? Split the difference with a 6-hour charter. These trips allow Captain Preston to be a bit more flexible with the fishing styles you'll use compared to a half day. This is Definitely Captain Preston's most popular option, and typically run from 8am- 2pm. Captain John is located at the exciting Bayside Marketplace and Marina right in the heart of downtown Miami and just 5 minutes away from South Beach (just over MacArthur Causeway). Fish the Waters of Miami and Key Biscayne for some of the world's most prized sport fish, including Sailfish, Mahi Nahi, Marlin, Tuna, and other species. The water gets deep only two miles offshore as you pass South Beach and Key Biscayne, so on this 8-hour adventure, you will have the opportunity to explore a lot of deepwater in search of some incredible sport fish as well as some delicious eating fish! This trip offers all types of tackle, from ultra-light to monster tackle. Everything is supplied for your trip except catering (beverages and/or food). Catering is easily arranged when you place your reservation. The boat features a fighting chair, rocket launcher, outriggers, and a large bait well. Deep Dropping is definitely the method of choice if you are looking to put some delicious table fare in the box! Deep dropping is a newer style of fishing and the fishing grounds are still pristine, this is b/c deep water locations are usually way offshore and difficult to get to in most place, not Miami though! The beauty of Miami's offshore waters is that they are so close to the shore. A mere 30 min boat ride and you floating of hundreds of feet of water. With Captain Bryan to help rig you up, you'll drop cut baits down hundreds of feet to hook into some delicious bottom fish like Black belly Rose fish (your main target), Tilefish, Warsaw Grouper, and others! The other mysterious thing about Deep Dropping is that you never know what you'll pull up from the bottom of the deep blue! Captain Bryan provides all the fishing gear you could possibly need for a successful day's deep dropping including cut bait, tackle, and fishing licenses. All he recommends that you bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, and a desire to haul some tasty fish up from the deep blue! The price includes Captain, boat, fuel, live bait, dead bait, fishing licenses, all necessary tackle, bottled waters and ice. Feel free to bring any food or drinks you want.
