Fishing the Chattahoochee River

The state record brown is 18 lbs and which makes it confusing that this river has not been named one of the top trout fishing locations. The Chattahoochee River has a diverse geography with shallow rapids, back eddies, and deep pools which make it the perfect place for giant trout to thrive. With the perfect environment and beautiful scenery, fly fishing for trout on the Chattahoochee is an experience of a lifetime.

Chattahooche Bass Fishing

All over Atlanta anglers go crazy for the amazing striped bass that lurks in the nearby Chattahoochee River. Huge striped bass are caught throughout the river which provides easy access and quality opportunities to anglers across the area. With big appetites, strong fights, and a propensity to crush bait, it's no surprise that these fish have become so popular.

The largemouth bass fishing on the river is also top-notch and the bite can be found almost anywhere. While striped bass tend to school near cover, largemouth tend to lurk in, around, and under structure. These big-bellied bass can be targeted with a variety of artificial worms and lures thrown around cover then all you need to do is wait for the thump.

Fishing Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier is famous for its world-class fishing opportunities and close proximity to Atlanta. With explosive bites and big fish, the action you will find on this lake is sure to get your blood pumping. The striped bass fishing is incredible with fish that crush bait throughout the year and grow to almost 50lbs. The largemouth and spotted bass fishing is also ideal with spring and fall providing your best shot at catching a giant. Crappie, sunfish, walleye, and trout are also common in the lake and are a blast for anglers of all ages. Depending on the time of year, live or artificial bait can be used to target these trophy-sized freshwater fish.
