Hiring a guide provides a number of benefits and many choose to book a fishing guide for a combination of experience, local knowledge, convenience, and cost-effectiveness.

Booking a guide is also more cost effective, especially if you only get out a handful of times per year. When you consider all of the costs you would incur on your own such as the price of a boat, maintenance, insurance, gas, high-quality gear and tackle, repairs, and more, you’ll find that DIY is sometimes not worth the expense.

What are the most popular months to go fishing in 69 Bay Esplanade?

Fishing at 69 Bay Esplanade is influenced by the changing seasons, each offering distinct advantages and conditions. During the spring months, the weather starts to warm up, and fish become more active after the cooler winter. This is a great time for anglers to target species such as snapper and whiting, as they are more likely to be feeding and moving into shallower waters. The mild temperatures and generally calm conditions make spring an ideal season for fishing at this location.

Summer at 69 Bay Esplanade brings warmer temperatures, which can affect fishing patterns. The heat often drives fish to seek cooler, deeper waters, so anglers may need to adjust their techniques accordingly. Winter fishing at 69 Bay Esplanade can be less productive due to cooler temperatures and reduced fish activity, but it can still offer opportunities for those willing to brave the colder weather. What types of fishing are popular in 69 Bay Esplanade?

Fishing at 69 Bay Esplanade offers a variety of techniques suited to its diverse aquatic environment. One popular method is shore fishing, where anglers cast from the shore into the bay's waters. This technique is effective for catching species such as whiting and flathead. Using bait like worms or small crabs can attract these fish, and the relatively shallow waters near the shore provide a good chance for successful catches. Shore fishing is accessible and convenient, making it a great option for casual anglers.

For those looking to fish further from shore, boat fishing is another effective technique at 69 Bay Esplanade. Boating allows access to deeper waters and different fishing spots that are not reachable from the shore. Techniques such as drift fishing or anchoring with bait can target species like snapper or trevally. Using a variety of lures or live bait, depending on the target species and conditions, can enhance the fishing experience. Boat fishing offers the advantage of exploring a larger area and finding optimal spots for different fish.

Additionally, lure fishing is a popular choice at 69 Bay Esplanade, especially for targeting predatory species like barracuda or tailor. Anglers use various types of lures, such as soft plastics, spinners, or crankbaits, to mimic the movement of baitfish and attract predators. Did a nice job trying to get us on fish. Hustled his rear off. Seemed a bit overwhelming having 4 on the boat who had never fished the flats before and several being relative novices for just 1 crew member. As a result about 1/3 the time 1-2 of our party weren’t fishing as we could have been. He was working hard though … much appreciated! Would highly recommend a 2nd crew member when there are inexperienced people it will be a tight fit though but think it would improve the experience. Tyson was nice, polite, knowledgeable and very patient thanks for the experience. Would highly recommend especially if you’ve done this type of fishing before. Thanks Tyson!
