You'll get off the dock aboard Captain Jason's 22' Kencraft Bayrider skiff, powered by an ultra-reliable Yamaha 150 HP four-stroke engine. Because this is an inshore/nearshore trip, you can expect to be on the fish fast, so be prepared to start fighting quick! Many of the species you'll be targeting are widely known for their fighting abilities, so make sure to bring your A-game. Captain Jason will bring everything else, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle.
To maximize your experience on the water, please remember sunscreen, proper clothing, and a pair of polarized sunglasses to help you hone in on fish. Get ready for a great trip!
Captain Jason was born and raised on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. He learned to fish in Beaufort, NC and is currently a resident of beautiful Harker's Island. He's an experienced seaman, with over 20 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard—six of which were in North Carolina—and knows as much as there is to know about these waters. Whether you're a first-time fisherman or a seasoned angler yourself, Jason will do everything he can to put you on the fish and ensure that you have a terrific day on the water.

We caught a variety of fish starting off with blues and Spanish then we moved on and caught some red drum, flounder, and trout. We were able to take home quite a bit of fish to put in the cooler. Jason has a great setup and is extremely knowledgeable about fishing and the area. He was also very patient with my super eager son and helped him land both drum — a big goal of his for the trip. You can’t beat the landscape, either — lush islands and sand bars, beautiful views, wild horses and all types of birds.
