Folly Beach On Light Tackle

On this 4 to 8-hour trip, Captain Conner is based out of the John's Island/Folly beach area but loves picking up his clients down in Kiawah to explore the local waters. Stalking the myriad of fingers and shallow creeks of the Kiawah River you can expect to sight fish Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Flounder, and much more! You can use light tackle with artificial lures or live bait, or even fly fish if you want to. Captain Conner will get your rod set up with what the fish are biting for whichever method you choose! Whether you're a beginner or experienced angler, Captain Conner will give you all the instruction you need to attract some fish.

You’ll be fishing aboard a maneuverable skiff boat that can fit up to 2 anglers. Equipped with a wireless trolling motor, this vessel will have no problem getting you into hard-to-reach waters.

Captain Conner will provide all rods, reels, tackle, fishing licenses, water, and snacks. He'll have an ice-filled cooler ready to go and will even do some photography for you! All you need to bring is sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a hat if you need one. Come aboard with Captain Conner and catch some fish!

With an obsession for fishing since he was a young boy, Captain Conner couldn't get enough of fishing local saltwater marshes, flats, creeks, as well as the open ocean. A few years later, he began working as a mate on local charter fishing boats, gaining more experience with both inshore and offshore fishing. He then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard serving as a Boatswain's Mate.

Beyond his Coast Guard career, Captain Conner also worked as a Marine Conservation Officer and continues to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. He is passionate about salt water fishing and wants everyone experience this type of fishing for themselves!
