Join Captain David Rappelet and Bow to Stern Fishing Tours for 2-full days of fishing in Galveston Bay’s productive waters!
You’ll start your trip at Thompson’s Bait Camp. From there, Captain David will take you out on the water for 5-6 hours. The Galveston Bay system is home to the “Texas Big Three” (Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout), Amberjack, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Shark, and many more species. Captain Rappelet will help you reel ‘em all in.
You’ll return to Thompson’s Bait Camp where Captain David and his crew will clean and fillet your fish. Captain David will then cook you a “captain’s lunch” - usually made from your day’s catch. Capt. David will then take you back out on the water for 4-5 hours where you will test your casting accuracy once again.
You will return to Thompson’s Bait Camp just in time for dinner. Captain David will cook you your day’s catch as you watch the sunset from the camp’s dock.
You’ll stay at a hotel provided by Captain David (included in the cost of the trip) and return the following morning bright and early for another productive day of fishing!
Captain David will have breakfast ready for you on the dock upon your arrival. You may also bring your own food if you like, although Captain David is an amazing cook. You’ll then hit the water for 6-8 hours where the Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout will be awaiting your arrival.

Captain David Rappelet comes from a long line of fishermen. Born and raised fishing Louisiana waters, Captain David became a full time fisherman to share his experience with others to share the enjoyment of the fishing.
Just south of Houston these days, Captain David of Bow To Stern Fishing Tours knows the waters of the Galveston Bay Complex surrounding Baytown, Texas like the back of his hand. His trips are immediately accessible just south of Houston, and he looks forward to showing you around his home waters!
In my head, like to think I’m a tough girl, but I’m really just a pink-wearing, I-don’t-want-to-get-dirty type of girly-girl. As soon as my two sons and I got in the boat, I realized that it would be an experience a little bit out of my comfort zone. David made the trip exciting & fun For my boys, who were immediately comfortable with him, joking around as if they’d known each other for years. He put up with my girly antics, poking a little fun at me (which my boys thought was hilarious) along the way, and he even put the bait on my hook for me every single time. (I couldn’t do it because that would require touching the shrimp) halfway through our trip, the boys were asking me if we could do this again. We definitely made memories that my boys will have forever, and we got to eat some good self-caught fish, too. We will book with captain David in the future, no question about it; I recommend him 100%.
Capt. David our my sons experience and overall safety first! Great experience, highly recommended- we had a great day on the water catching: skipjack, red fish (lots), sand trout, black drums, sheep head, croakers, piggy perch, and more! Thanks, Capt. David! See you again soon!
Captain Dave was amazing. We had some first time fisherman and young children with us and Dave really took the time to be instructive not only on equipment but the types of fish we were after and the area we were in. Funny, patient and most importantly productive, we limited out. Highly, highly recommend Bow to Stern especially if you have kids.
