Get some buddies together for this unique, competitive tournament-style Bassfishing trip on the lakes around Austin, Texas! On this trip, your group will split up according to how many people you bring, typically going 2-3 per boat, and competing to see who can catch the better fish! The terms of this tournament will be up to you, and you can compete based on size, number of fish, top five catches, or more! Feel free to bring drinks and snacks, and make sure you've got some good trash-talk ready to go. Derek can take up to 2 guests on this tournament adventure. You will be fishing aboard his 18' bass boat, which is suited to all your needs on Lake Travis. The vessel is powered by a 115 Yamaha engine that will power you across the smooth surface of the lake with speed. Derek can provide all the fishing gear for you: rods, reels, artificial lures, and light tackle for you, but encourages you to bring your own if you'd like as well. Head out with Captain Kevin for an action-packed day of Lake Austin fishing. Go after Perch, Crappie, and Bass on light tackle—Captain Kevin's specialty! Captain Kevin likes to target these species using a variety of jigs, soft plastics, and live worms and minnows. These classic freshwater fish are fun to catch, and great fish for beginner anglers to get started on. Up to 3 anglers(3 kids with 3 adults) can fit aboard the 22' Desperado center console, plus the captain. The 225hp Yamaha engine will power you smoothly over the calm waters of Lake Austin. Captain Kevin will masterfully guide the vessel to his favorite fishing holes in no time, because he's dedicated to putting you on the fish and making sure you have a blast. For Kids, an adult needs to participate to assist/supervise with a valid Texas Fishing license. Join Captain Wyatt aboard his 21' Skeeter to whack the bass on Lake Travis! He knows how to get you those adrenaline-pumping tugs, so listen closely to his trips and tricks. His Skeeter has the perfect combination of speed and stealth and can bounce you around to his favorite spots quickly and sneak into secluded honey holes unnoticed. On this half day or full day adventure, you’ll be targeting Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass using artificial lures and light tackle. These fish are a classic for both beginners and experienced anglers, making this trip the perfect family outing. The vessel can accommodate 3 people, and the 250HP Yamaha engine will provide you with a smooth ride over the lake. This listing is for trips departing in the AFTERNOON only. (If you wish to fish in the morning, go back and select the AM trip option) Trips on Lake Travis will depart out of Cody Park in Lago Vista. For an additional $50 charge to cover my extra time and fuel I also offer pick ups from private docks between Mile Markers 10-37, I also offer pick ups from the fuel dock at Rough Hollow Marina. If you would like to be picked up other than my normal meeting location at Cody Park please message me after booking. I can fit up to three anglers per trip. If you have a larger group please message me as I have two other licensed guides I work with and would be happy to help you arrange additional boats. Trips target Largemouth Bass. Guadalupe Bass, White Bass, Freshwater Drum, Catfish and Crappie are also common bycatch. We will be fishing with artificial lures. I offer both spinning and baitcasting combos, I can accomodate any skill level angler. All rods, reels, tackle, etc is provided. The only thing you must provide is a valid fishing license for any angler over the age of 16. (Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email including instructions on how to obtain a fishing license. It's extremely easy, you can pick one up from any sporting goods store or online via your phone in about 10 minutes.) Bottled water on ice is also provided. Children ages 5 and up are more than welcome! Please let me know if a child will be in your party and I will make sure to have an appropriate sized life jacket for them.
