Get some buddies together for this unique, competitive tournament-style Bassfishing trip on the lakes around Austin, Texas! On this trip, your group will split up according to how many people you bring, typically going 2-3 per boat, and competing to see who can catch the better fish! The terms of this tournament will be up to you, and you can compete based on size, number of fish, top five catches, or more! You will be fishing aboard his 19ft 2021 Skeeter ZX150 bass boat, which is suited to all your need. The vessel is powered by a 150 Yamaha VMAX SHO engine that will power you across the smooth surface of the lake with speed. Hop on board with Captain Jake for an exciting day on Lake Travis. The lake's more than 18,000 acres of water and numerous underwater structures provide ample opportunity for successful bass fishing trips. In addition, the flooded vegetation around the lake creates ideal conditions for largemouth bass to spawn and feed. Anglers who join Captain Jake are bound to catch some monster Largemouth and Striped Bass. Captain Jake can accommodate 3 people on these 4-hour (half-day) and 8-hour (full-day) adventures. During this trip, you will learn the latest and most effective techniques and how to adapt your presentation to your environment. No fishing experience is required! He'll take you out on the Highland Lakes in search of Gar, Carp, Freshwater Drum, Tilapia, Shad, and more! Once you're on the fish, all you need to do is whack 'em and stack 'em! Bowfishing is an experience unlike any other, so come on out and give it a try. Captain Randy will provide you and your party with all the fishing gear you will need to get out on the water and start hitting fish. Depending on the fish you're looking to bring in, he'll take you to one of his multiple honey holes on his 18' SeaArk aluminum boat, which has 10 LED lights on a deck custom-designed by Matthews Archery. This boat is well equipped for bowfishing with enough room for 4 anglers to fish at the same time, so there's no waiting your turn. On this half day or full day adventure, you’ll be targeting Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass using artificial lures and light tackle. These fish are a classic for both beginners and experienced anglers, making this trip the perfect family outing. This listing is for trips departing in the AFTERNOON only. (If you wish to fish in the morning, go back and select the AM trip option) Trips on Lake Travis will depart out of Cody Park in Lago Vista. For an additional $50 charge to cover my extra time and fuel I also offer pick ups from private docks between Mile Markers 10-37, I also offer pick ups from the fuel dock at Rough Hollow Marina. If you would like to be picked up other than my normal meeting location at Cody Park please message me after booking. I can fit up to three anglers per trip. If you have a larger group please message me as I have two other licensed guides I work with and would be happy to help you arrange additional boats. Trips target Largemouth Bass. Guadalupe Bass, White Bass, Freshwater Drum, Catfish and Crappie are also common bycatch. We will be fishing with artificial lures. I offer both spinning and baitcasting combos, I can accomodate any skill level angler. All rods, reels, tackle, etc is provided. The only thing you must provide is a valid fishing license for any angler over the age of 16. (Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email including instructions on how to obtain a fishing license. It's extremely easy, you can pick one up from any sporting goods store or online via your phone in about 10 minutes.) Bottled water on ice is also provided. Children ages 5 and up are more than welcome! Please let me know if a child will be in your party and I will make sure to have an appropriate sized life jacket for them.
