Captain Dale Coffman was born to be a Corpus Christi fishing guide. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, he's been fishing since he could hold a fishing pole. Now he feels privileged enough to share his passion for the great outdoors with others to make memories with their family and friends through the fishing experience of a lifetime.
Captain Dale chose the name Always An Adventure because it is one thing you can count on when fishing the waters of Corpus Christi with him for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more.
Fish Baffin Bay or the nearshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico aboard Captain Dale's spacious 24’ Kenner Saltwater fishing boat. The vessel is powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines and is fitted with top-notch navigational electronics, safety equipment, and other professional accessories.
Target Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout or fish nearshore for Mahi-Mahi, Red Snapper, Cobia, Kingfish, and more.
Always An Adventure specializes in a variety of fishing techniques, from bottom fishing and drift fishing to trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, and fly fishing. Captain Dales knows the local waters of the Coastal Bend like the back of his hand.
All trips include lures, quality rods and reels, and tackle, but you're welcome to bring your own. When available, you will also be provided with live bait. To end a great day on the water, Captain Dale will clean and fillet your catch for you.

1/2 Day Trip with Captain Dale. I took my two sons - 15 and 18. The weather was pretty much terrible and Captain Dale managed it well despite the rain. He didn’t make us miserable, didn’t talk us out of going, has a good attitude. He was ontime, everything ready to go. Courteous. The weather didn’t allow us to go after huge ones, but the small and medium sized action was pretty steady. The part I like the most was he was always on.. paying attention, noticed every time our bait was a little tired, or busted us not watching a bobber, or would help with every cast if you wanted, or not if you didn’t. Unhooked all our fish. In short, he just payed good attention all the time, and had pretty much the nicest boat where we were. We had the best fresh fish dinner (Speckled Trout) we have had in a long time. Captain Dale filleted our fish, 0 bones, tasted awesome (with his cooking instruction)! Our only negative was his attempt at the jokes, Just kidding Dale, wanted the last jab. Great memories.
Our first experience was epic!!! What originally started out as an idea for our family’s first salt water experience, has now advanced to, most likely, our family’s annual trip!! Captain Dale has an amazing sense of humor, ability to adjust to all personalities, and assist those that need a little more attention, while allowing those who don’t the opportunity to do what needs to be done. I would recommend this service to anyone of any level of experience. You couldn’t be in better hands while on the water!! Thank you, Captain Dale!!!
My daughters and I had a great time fishing on our vacation. Captain Dale took us out a ways to find the big ones and find them we did. We caught black drum, trout, and a couple croakers. They were fun to catch and put up a fun fight to reel in. Captain Dale is a great Captain with a sense of humor and quick wit to keep everyone on their toes! This sure beats ice fishing any day!!. Would highly recommend him and will definitely call on him next time we come down to Texas.
