About Your Trip

On this trip out of Freeport, you can expect to ride anywhere from 1-5 miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. On this nearshore adventure, you can expect to drop cut baits down to the bottom of the ocean to haul back in the (often delicious) monsters of the deep like giant red snapper, grouper, and bull redfish. Captain Paul also likes to troll plugs to attract kingfish, ling, and sharks.

About Your Guide

Captain Paul Pennington is a USCG licensed captain running Freeport fishing charters. While his experience inshore and offshore saltwater fishing exceeds 30 years, he began running charter fishing trips just over 5 years ago.

Captain Paul really enjoys helping groups enjoy lifetime experiences on the water. His goal is to give you and your group an enjoyable, relaxing and exciting day offshore out of Freeport, Texas. Jump aboard Captain Paul's 47 foot yacht for a smooth and speedy ride with land at your back.

Captain Paul looks forward to your next day offshore chasing Red Snapper, Kingfish, Sharks, and more!

All I wanted from this trip is for my 17 year old son to catch some nice fish! He works so hard in school so he needed a break. Saturday morning the seas were running 5/7’. Captain Paul asked me what I thought about the conditions ( I left the answer up to my son). He said “dad we waited along time for this trip what do you think”? I replyed “it’s a 47’ Hatterious it will rough but we can do it. I responded to the captain saying let’s GO! We took off and went fishing. We were the only boat out their! What happened next was Captain Paul put us on the fish and it was on! The one thing that stuck out was not only did he work with my son he showed/taught him about salt water fishing! Paul was very personal and hands on! Not only did we find a Charter to take us out fishing, We found a friend!
