Captain Al and his crew offer both full day (7 hr.) and half day (4 hr.) trips departing out of Bridge Harbor Yacht Club in Freeport, Texas. Departure times are: 8:00 AM for full day & 9:00 AM for half day and they will have you fishing within 30 to 45 minutes of leaving the dock. Even quicker sometimes if you decide to stay closer to shore.
From nearshore to inshore, Captain Al does everything in between. He can take you up to 10 miles out to target bigger state water fish, hit the jetties for some bottom fishing, or drift the ship channels. Out on these nearshore adventures you can xpect to drop cut baits down to the bottom of the Gulf and expect to haul in some of the various fish that call these waters home - Grouper, Snapper, and Big Sharks. Or bust out the outriggers and tuna tubes to troll for Mackerel, Ling, and maybe even a Mahi if you're lucky! Captain Al's 36' Chris Craft provides the perfect vessel to lounge and enjoy your company on board while you wait for the bite.
The trips are all-inclusive and include bait, poles, tackle, deckhand, captain and just about everything you will need to have a great day fishing and all without an additional fuel surcharge! All fishermen will need a Texas salt water fishing license, and don't forget to bring your snacks, drinks, lunch, and anything else you'd like to enjoy onboard. Sunscreen and rain gear are another great call as well.

Had a very delightful day on a very calm sea, with no breeze, no fish but excellent conversation. Captain Al and his boat mate Pat gave their all trying different locations and techniques (Trolling and bottom fishing) in hopes of finding the fish that actually wanted to bite! ...Read More At each location he could see fish on his Fish Finder but we couldn’t entice any to take the bait. In one instance I saw 2 good size Cobia floating under a patch of seaweed and they just sat there watching the boat pass pack and forth. Crazy Fish!!! I can say that every boat in the area seemed to be having the same lack of success and saw no action on any line in the water. I highly recommended Captain Al’s boat for your next charter trip, especially if you are looking for a laid back crew on a sturdy boat with a cabin to escape the sun. They are accommodating to every type of fishing experience, even if you’ve never held a rod in your hand! Always remember…..ANY DAY ON THE WATER IS A GOOD DAY!

Even though the weather was rough and it’s early in the year Capt. Al got us on a few fish. We will definitely be going back.
