Captain Jason Woods offers action-packed Galveston deep sea fishing charters. Captain Jason's been in the Galveston fishing charters business for 15 years, and started fishing the Gulf of Mexico as a kid. He takes great pride in providing once-in-a-lifetime fishing experiences for anglers of all skill levels, and especially enjoys teaching young anglers and kids to have a great time catching fish.

Captain Jason will host your group aboard his new 30’ Sea Hunt center console boat, which offers a smooth, dry and fast ride to the offshore fishing spots. Powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki engines, and complete with a GPS, fishfinder, VHF, sonar, and radar, this spacious fishing vessel has it all.

The oversized T-top provides plenty of shade and rain protection, and the boat also has a restroom onboard.

The Sea Hunter also boasts full outriggers, and a live well for bait. Captain Jason uses high-quality Shimano and Avet reels, and Ugly Stik Tiger and custom hopper rods.

Captain Jason offers a variety of year-round fishing opportunities ranging from offshore deep sea charters to nearshore jetty fishing trips. Head offshore to target Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Cobia, Ling, and Grouper, or stay nearshore at the jetties for Bull Redfish, Bull Black Drum, Sharks, Jack Crevalle, and more. For those looking to face off with Texas-sized Sharks, Captain Jason offers a trip specifically tailored towards Shark catching!

Cant say enough about this trip. Started slow but Capt James was going to make sure we had a great experience. Marking all kinds of fish in the normal close spots but nothing biting. None of the other boats around us were having luck either so our Captain moved us 12 miles south. So why is this a big deal. Cause I know the fuel he burns cuts into his profit but he didn’t think twice about it. The first rod in the water hooked up. Withing in no time we had caught 6, 5 different species including a sting ray. The sting ray was just a crazy fight. Headed back in closer and got all over the sharks. Our day ended with three of us all fighting our biggest sharks of the day as seen in the pics. This was a day I wont forget. If you are thinking about this trip do it. You wont regret it!!

Great trip with Jason and Brandon. Limited on Kings and Snapper. Got Mangrove, And Jacks as well. Then took us for an hour of shark fishing that was out of this world. Within an hour 5 sharks over 50lbs and last fish if day pushing 75lbs. Jason gets you in fish and changes methods until he has bite. Highly recommend

Jason was awesome! We had a great time out on the water. We caught several fish during our trip which made it even more fun. Can’t wait to book our next one!
