Captain Daniel "Danny" Dorman of Coastal Charters in Port Aransas, Texas has been providing top-notch Port Aransas fishing charters offshore, deep sea, and in the bays for over 12 years. Book a trip to catch Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, Red Snapper, Kingfish, Marlin, Grouper, and Sharks!
The crew gives their full attention to every guest who comes aboard, and they're excited to fish with experienced and beginner anglers alike. Captain Danny and the team especially like teaching kids and beginners about fish species and the fishing techniques they’ve learned from generations of living right here on the Gulf of Mexico.
Captain Danny is a third generation fisherman, so starting Coastal Charters was in his blood. He grew up on the water, and had a boat before he even had a truck to tow it!
Danny loves teaching young and new anglers about deep sea fishing, and he’s especially proud of the customers who come back to fish with him every year. When he’s not working, you can find Danny hanging out with his family, and enjoying the day’s catch.
Every trip with Captain Dany includes top of the line fishing gear including poles, tackle, and accessories, ice chests to keep your food and drink cold all day long, and live bait.

On our way out Captain Dorman asked my youngest, “What are you looking to catch today?” He thought for a second and replied, “A good fight.” With 13 king mackerel on the boat you can tell that’s exactly what we got. Excellent captain, crew, and boat. We will be out again with Captain Dorman in a few months for snapper season.
We had an amazing day of fishing . Capt. Danny and his mate were very friendly and helpful. They made sure that each of us had the chance to catch the kind of fish that we wanted. They interacted with each of our kids and also told us about themselves. Very laid back and enjoyable day!
This 8 hour trip with Captain Danny Dorman was, without a doubt, the most fun my family has had in a very long time. From start to finish Captain Dorman and his right-hand-man Jake were the best of professionals while making us feel like we were on the boat with long-time friends. Everything was perfect…and HOLY COW does this man know how to find the fish! He put us right on top of them every time. Double and triple hook-ups were normal. The boat was awesome too. Even though it was rough out, it was a very smooth ride. We will be going back with Captain Dorman as soon as we possibly can. It was a fishing trip of a lifetime!
