With the help of some local legends including forty year veteran Capt. Skipper Ray, Gus has honed his skills as a fisherman and professional guide fishing the Lower Laguna Madre. But for him the bay still provides an incredible environment to learn and grow. Every day he finds new places to fish and duck hunt and he welcomes you to join him on one of these incredible adventures!
During the fall Captain Gus heads north to Crawford, Colorado to team up with the Homestead Ranch Crew to chase elk, deer, mountain lion, and bear. Homestead Ranch is an original homestead that the McLeods have maintained since 1914. Six generations of incredible preservation have built the hunting experience of a lifetime. He is truly honored to have been a part of this team for the last few years.
We had a great time fishing in the cold. Limited out on Reds!
Gus, Let me be the first to say how much we all four appreciate your 100+++% effort, along with your dad, to make our trip and hunt so special. Your communication before we even got there was spectacular. Once we arrived the home you arranged, boating directly to fish and hunt within ...Read More fifteen minutes, filet and breasting all our animals and making sure we got home safe with wings on breast was truly a treat and so relaxing. In addition, the home cooked duck breast dinner and homemade picante puree sauce was out of this world. All of us can’t wait to come back next season. If you don’t mind in your down time, like you have any, we would love to know the best way to prep, cook and eat our ducks we took home. I’m looking into Alexa’s advice to find app for sending videos and pics to us all from the Pixie Set App, You and Craig take care this duck season and stay safe and sound. We all can’t wait to return for another great Feather & Fin time together. Blessings, Shannon
