Captain Jim Garrison offers Rockport fishing charters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Captain Jim was born in Mission, Texas and grew up calf roping and team roping on horseback in Kyle, Texas on a 3,000 acre working cow/calf ranch. He's brought that same competitive spirit to his fishing charters for 17 years and counting.
Captain Jim fell in love with saltwater fishing about 20 years ago and never looked back. He fishes the inshore bays and backwaters of the Texas Coastal Bend from Port O'Connor and Seadrift, Texas to Rockport, from Espiritu Santo Bay to Aransas Bay.
Captain Jim hosts trips aboard his 22' Triton Bay Flight Tunnel Hull with a Mercury 200 HP outboard motor. His boat is loaded with all the required safety gear, including adult and child life jackets, a first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher.

My wife and I just had our third trip with Capt. Jim, and it was amazing as always! We caught redfish all day and had a blast doing it. The fishing is only part of the fun though - Capt. Jim is a great person, and we love being on the water with him. We will always use Capt. Jim. He is the only guide for us!

We fished with Captain Jim Garrison for the first time in July and had a very successful fishing trip. We headed out early that morning and anchored off about 6:30 and began to fish. After landing a couple hard head, and two trout, the red drum’s started to bite. We were pulling them in faster than we could get rebated, it was a blast. My son and I along with my two buddies had our limit in about 2 hrs. The largest red being around 32 - 34 in. brought in by my 5 year old and I after battling it for about 8 minutes. Captain Jim was the best guide I’ve had and we’re looking forward to taking many more trips with him in the future.
