Half day private bay fishing charter (5hrs) at South Padre Island, Texas. Targeting primarily redfish and speckled trout with various fishing techniques from artificial baits, fresh cut ,and/or live baits. Sometimes target snook, black drum, sheep’s head, and triple tail if conditions and seasonality are present. Currently running a 24 ft Shallow Stalker boat equipped with a Suzuki 175 and a Minn Kota trolling motor. Over 20 years local fishing experience here a South Padre. Family friendly and kid tested. I supply all of the fishing equipment and bait, all the customer needs is a valid Texas saltwater fishing license and their choice of food and drinks. This is a half day private bay fishing trip for the family at South Padre Island. Target species are primarily speckled trout and redfish, but other species are caught when conditions permit. Other species could be flounder, black drum, sheepshead, snook or even a triple tail. Amateur to avid anglers are welcome. This is a kid tested and family approved private bay fishing charter. Most family trips decide to fish with live baits (a small additional cost) or fresh cut bait. Once trip is over a fish cleaner will fillet and package fish. Launch onto the beautiful Laguna Madre for an epic shallow water adventure with a Captain who absolutely lives on the water. The main species you’re going to be targeting include Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Occasionally, you’ll get a chance to land some Black Drum, and maybe a Snook or two. Captain Brett loves to fish with professionals and new fishermen alike and will teach even the most novice of fisherman how to successfully cast, hook, and land a fish. He’s also great with kids and always encourages the young ones to start fishing early. The minimum age for kids is 6 years old. All equipment and artificial bait you need will be provided by the charter. The captain uses all high-quality equipment including exclusively Shimano reels, Old 18 Outfitters rods, FINS Windtamer braided line and DOA lures. Live bait is available upon request, at a market cost. Onboard, you’ll find bottled water, as well as two coolers. You should still bring small coolers to take you catch home after Brett has filleted everything back at the dock (You can leave cooler(s) in your car while you fish).
