About Your Trip

Spend a day exploring the scenic inshore and nearshore waters of New Smyrna Beach with Captain Brenden. From the calm backwaters of Mosquito Lagoon to the productive stretches around Ponce Inlet, this trip offers a great opportunity to experience one of Florida’s most well-known fishing areas.

Depending on conditions and season, you’ll have the chance to target a wide range of species including Redfish, Snook, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and even Tarpon or Permit. Captain Brenden uses light tackle and live bait techniques to give anglers of all skill levels a solid shot at hooking into something memorable, whether you're fishing the flats or moving closer to nearshore structure.

You’ll be fishing from a 22’ Sea Chaser bay boat powered by a reliable 150 HP Yamaha. The boat is outfitted with GPS, a fishfinder, live bait well, wireless trolling motor, and an ice box to keep your drinks and catch chilled. With room for up to four anglers, it's a great setup for a comfortable day on the water.

To keep things simple, Captain Brenden provides all rods, reels, tackle, ice, and water, along with all necessary fishing licenses and permits for Mosquito Lagoon. Live bait is available for an additional fee. He also provides Neutrogena SPF 50 sunscreen to help protect your skin while avoiding the damage aerosol sprays can cause to his boat’s finish.

This trip is kid-friendly, beginner-friendly, and customizable to match your goals on the water. Feel free to bring along snacks, drinks (no glass, please), and your favorite playlist to connect via Bluetooth.

Captain Brenden is committed to creating an enjoyable fishing experience and will always do his best to get you on the fish. Fish cleaning is available for an additional fee at the end of the trip.

How did you get started guiding?

I decided to share the love i have for fishing with others and teach the younger generation how to fish. My goal is to either get new fisherman “ADDICTED” or cure and addiction for a experienced fisherman.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses,weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 2 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 2 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
