About Your Trip

Head out with Captain Taylor for an awesome experience out on the water for fishermen of all skill levels. His 40-foot Infinity sportfisher runs on twin Cummins 450-horsepower engins that can travel nearshore or offshore at high speeds. This kid-friendly, double-decker boat can hold up to 6 people, so it's perfect for families. Outside, it's kitted out with live wells and downriggers/outriggers for trolling up to six rods. Inside, the interior has extensive navigation systems, a toilet, kitchen, bed, and shower. With a first mate on board, television, refrigerator, ice box, and even air conditioning, Captain Taylor can provide an incredibly comfortable experience.

When Snapper season is in, everybody is trying to get in on the action! So if you want to head out with a guide who knows how to catch limits, Captain Taylor is your man!

Captain Taylor's 40' Infinity sportfisher is federally permitted, which means he can head beyond 9 miles offshore to hit the offshore reefs, rigs, and wrecks where all the big Red Snapper hang out. These waters get less pressure than the state waters and usually result in quicker limits and bigger catches! Once you're out there, Captain Taylor will chum up the water to get the Snapper up off the reef and a little higher in the water column. Then you will drop some cut bait down on them and hope the biggest one hammers your hook, and get ready for a fight when it does!

Captain Taylor and his crew will provide all rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. All you need to bring is food and drinks for the day, a hat, and sunscreen. He will clean and fillet your day’s catch at the end of the trip, so make sure you bring a cooler to take it home.

A Destin native, Captain Taylor has been on the water as far back as he can remember, and he started his career at only 13 years old. He describes fishing as his passion and has always known it’s what he wanted to spend his life doing. His favorite part of what he does is seeing kids catch fish, especially when it’s their first time!

Taylor’s favorite fishing destination is Isla Mujeres, Mexico, where he spent a winter sail fishing. Blue
Marlin are his favorite species of fish to catch but it’s a toss-up between yellowfin tuna and fresh scamp for his favorite to eat.

Taylor is full of fishing stories, but one of his favorites is from a slow day fishing with his buddies. Just as they were about to call the day, they found a string of black turtles and then moved from turtle to turtle, catching cobia after cobia until they were forced to stop because they ran out of bait and jigs!
