    We had a great experience with Capt Mike. The communication leading up to the trip was professional and informative. We met Mike around 7 in the morning, he explained the day and the challenges of a cold snap. The air temp had dropped 20-30 degrees over the past couple of days. Mikes knowledge of the fisheries were excellent and we were soon putting fish in the boat. We caught 30+ fish to include some nice keeper drum. From the moment we got on the boat, Mike took great care of us and pride in getting up on fish. He even cleaned our fish and provided them to a restaurant to prepare for us.     I hired Bryce for a guided fishing trip after clearly communicating in advance that our goal was to target redfish and trout. Unfortunately, the experience did not align with those expectations. Over the course of a six-hour trip, we were taken to only two locations, both of which were focused solely on trout. When the bite was slow or nonexistent, there was little adjustment or exploration of alternative areas. It became apparent that there was no clear backup plan or confidence in locating fish when conditions were not favorable. A guided trip is something I book specifically for local knowledge, adaptability, and the ability to read conditions and adjust accordingly. In this case, that value was lacking, and the trip felt more like staying put and waiting rather than actively working to put clients on fish—particularly the redfish we had requested. Overall, the experience did not justify the time or cost, and I was disappointed with the lack of strategy and responsiveness when the fishing was slow.
