My som (age 10) and I went out this morning on a 4-hour charter, and we had a fantastic time! Super clean boat with plenty of room, and he knew all the best spots for redfish and trout. Captain Josh was great with my son, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again.

All I can say it that it was interesting. Our trip was scheduled from 7-10am and we boarded his boat a little before 7. Instead of having the bait ready, we took a 20 minute boat ride so he could buy bait for the day. It went downhill from there. We basically fished 3 places on Destin bay that even a guy who had never been on the bay could've chosen. A grass bed by the coast guard station, a rock jetty and bridge pilings. We boated zero fish from these spots. The final spot was fishing a cove that was basically 2 feet deep of crystal clear water and obviously we caught nothing there. At that point he did offer to go back to the grass bed but I had seen enough of his guiding abilities to know we were done. After a long boat ride back, in his anger, at full throttle thru relatively rough water, we get back to the dock. He asks for payment and I ask him what he thinks is fair. He states full price is what he thinks is fair. I told him that was really BS but didn't hesitate to provide the QR code for payment. After scanning the code I mentioned to him that he might want to pursue a different line of work since he obviously wasn't very good at finding catchable fish. I have seen better equipment at garage sales too. Half the reels didn't work properly and we all had issues with that. All of that aside, we paid in full but I did not tip him and we started our drive home. At this point I started to receive nasty texts from Seth Litton. He said he was going to tell all the captains in the Destin area to never take me or my family out on a guided fishing trip. He called me a cheapskate for not tipping. It was unreal. I received 3 nasty texts in all even after I told him to cease contact with me. I know there are some good guides out there. Anyone can catch fish on a good day. Guides are paid good money to at least catch a few on bad days. And in the rare event you don't, and it has happened in the many times I have done this, they will always offer you a future discount on a trip or discount the trip you just took. Neither of these happened. Looking back, from the poor equipment, the fact he didn't even catch local water bait, the places we fished, etc., I should've known this guy just simply wasn't up to the task. It's a shame it cost me 550.00 to learn that. Due to all of this I will probably never take a trip sponsored by Captain Experiences again. People will say there are 2 sides to every story but what I have stated here is 100% factual truth.

Great to work with, answered all questions we had for him. Very nice and prompt in what he was doing, kept the party active and ready to fish. Encouraged us along the way, would refer him to anyone and look forward to hopefully enjoying some fishing again with him one day!

We had A stellar day on the water with Captain Seth. He was at the dock ready to go when we arrived. The night before he had suggested we skip the bay and fish the gulf which ended up being the right choice. The day was beautiful with 2-3 foot swells. We saw dolphin on the way. We enjoyed the ride out to the first fishing spot with Seth providing insights to the area as well as giving us a rundown on the day and the fish we would be catching. Before Captain Seth could grab the second pole, my son was already pulling up the first fish, a large red snapper. Out of season, bummer! That set the tone. We caught fish all day and ate a portion of it that night. The 5 of us on the boat all took turns at brining in Amber Jacks and we were able to keep the two biggest ones. More than once we had 3 poles with fish on at the same time. Two poles with fish on to many times to count. Seth was fun to be with. He was attentive and personable. It was a blast watching him help my daughter bring a large amber jack. It was a great day with my family and captain Seth. I will recommend him to my family and friends. A great way to spend the day away from the crowds. Loved it.

Trolling Destin's Shoreline

NEW
52 ft 20 People From $155 per person

Your trip starts at the docks in the Harborwalk Village of Destin. Upon arrival you will meet with your captain or one of our associates. If your charter begins at 6am (for example) that is when your charter boat will set off from the docks. The charter service starts with a cruise through the Destin Harbor and out into the Destin Pass. After reaching the end of the Destin Pass we will set up to begin catching our Live Bait. This usually takes 30 mins (give or take) to catch enough Live Bait to fish with during your fishing trip. After we have enough Live Bait we head out into the Gulf of Mexico to begin catching reef fish. It all depends on how the fish are biting that day but we will either stay in one area for the rest of your trip or we will move to another fishing spot. After a few hours of fishing (depending on your hourly trip) we will then head back to the docks. This will usually be a 45 -60 minutes ride back (depending on your hourly trip) to the docks at the Destin Harbor. During this time you and your friends can crack open a cold one or relax on the quick trip back to the docks. Immediately after arriving at the docks your captain will pin up your fish on the fishing board. You and your friends and family can then take a group photo to help remember this special day. After the photos your captain will clean and dress all your fish in no time. You have the option to give your fresh caught fish to most (if not all) restaurants on the Destin Harbor. They will cook up your fish with one of their restaurant dishes for you. You can’t beat this! This is a perfect way to top off the evening from a great time on the water! Read More
