So you think you can fish? This 10 Hour Private Fishing Charter might be just what you need to show off your angling prowess. We invite you to come onto the TradeWinds and show us what you got! (This trip is popular with highly competitive groups, so let us know if you have one or more pots going so we can help your group keep track of who's winning!) You will begin by trolling on your way to your first fishing spot, during your return toward shore, and in between spots (when time allows between drops). To start your day, your main focus will be bottom-fishing, but as the day progresses, we often switch to primarily trolling efforts if you catch your limit of your primary target or if the trolling action happens to be red-hot. On this trip, you can expect to be targeting a large variety of species, based on season and availability. For trolling, we will be tracking down premium top-water fish like King Mackerel, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Bonita, and more. Once we begin sending down our lines, we will be aiming for whatever premium species are in season- probably one or more of the many types of Grouper or the elite Red Snapper. You will likely also bring in some of the following: Vermillion Snapper (Mingo), White Snapper, Black Snapper, and Porgys. And who knows what else we might stumble upon?! Thank you for your interest in this booking, please let us know if you have any questions. Lets go fishing! Notes: A 3% Payment Proccessing fee will apply for all online, credit card, or digital wallet transactions and will be assessed and collected at the dock. No fees apply for payments made with cash/business check. Please remember- deckhands humbly work hard for and graciously accept tips. Customary gratuity is 20% of trip price and can be accepted before or after your trip. Thank you for your generosity! Read More

Bad-to-the-Bone Full Day Trip

NEW
34 ft 1 - 6 People From $650 / person

This is our highest-tier, year-round offering for serious anglers with something to prove....... and (perhaps a hefty seafood appetite). First on the agenda is some trolling action. You will troll off-and-on throughout the day: first on the way to your first fishing spot, on your way back to Destin, and also on longer runs in between spots. We also sometimes switch to (or stay with) primarily trolling efforts if you catch your limit of your primary target-fish or if the trolling action just happens to be on fire, but the #1 objective overall is quality bottom fish for your whole group. On the 12 hour fishing trip, you can expect to be targeting a large variety of species, based on season and availability. On the trolling lines, we will be tempting the most highly desired top-water fish like King Mackerel, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Bonita, and more. When we arrive at the bottom-fishing spots, we will be hunting down any and all premium species that are in season- probably one or more of the many types of Grouper or the elite Red Snapper. You will likely also bring in some of the following: Vermillion Snapper (locally known as Mingo Snapper), White Snapper, Black Snapper, and Porgys. And on this trip, there's plenty of time to run across some pretty incredible catches. Captain Wayne was great. First place we stopped, three of the four of us had bites on our 1st cast. Two reeled in fish within 3 minutes.

My som (age 10) and I went out this morning on a 4-hour charter, and we had a fantastic time! Super clean boat with plenty of room, and he knew all the best spots for redfish and trout. Captain Josh was great with my son, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again.

All I can say it that it was interesting. Our trip was scheduled from 7-10am and we boarded his boat a little before 7. Instead of having the bait ready, we took a 20 minute boat ride so he could buy bait for the day. It went downhill from there. We basically fished 3 places on Destin bay that even a guy who had never been on the bay could've chosen. A grass bed by the coast guard station, a rock jetty and bridge pilings. We boated zero fish from these spots. The final spot was fishing a cove that was basically 2 feet deep of crystal clear water and obviously we caught nothing there. At that point he did offer to go back to the grass bed but I had seen enough of his guiding abilities to know we were done. After a long boat ride back, in his anger, at full throttle thru relatively rough water, we get back to the dock. He asks for payment and I ask him what he thinks is fair. He states full price is what he thinks is fair. I told him that was really BS but didn't hesitate to provide the QR code for payment. After scanning the code I mentioned to him that he might want to pursue a different line of work since he obviously wasn't very good at finding catchable fish. I have seen better equipment at garage sales too. Half the reels didn't work properly and we all had issues with that. All of that aside, we paid in full but I did not tip him and we started our drive home. At this point I started to receive nasty texts from Seth Litton. He said he was going to tell all the captains in the Destin area to never take me or my family out on a guided fishing trip. He called me a cheapskate for not tipping. It was unreal. I received 3 nasty texts in all even after I told him to cease contact with me. I know there are some good guides out there. Anyone can catch fish on a good day. Guides are paid good money to at least catch a few on bad days. And in the rare event you don't, and it has happened in the many times I have done this, they will always offer you a future discount on a trip or discount the trip you just took. Neither of these happened. Looking back, from the poor equipment, the fact he didn't even catch local water bait, the places we fished, etc., I should've known this guy just simply wasn't up to the task. It's a shame it cost me 550.00 to learn that. Due to all of this I will probably never take a trip sponsored by Captain Experiences again. People will say there are 2 sides to every story but what I have stated here is 100% factual truth.

Great to work with, answered all questions we had for him. Very nice and prompt in what he was doing, kept the party active and ready to fish. Encouraged us along the way, would refer him to anyone and look forward to hopefully enjoying some fishing again with him one day!

We had A stellar day on the water with Captain Seth. He was at the dock ready to go when we arrived. The night before he had suggested we skip the bay and fish the gulf which ended up being the right choice. The day was beautiful with 2-3 foot swells. We saw dolphin on the way. We enjoyed the ride out to the first fishing spot with Seth providing insights to the area as well as giving us a rundown on the day and the fish we would be catching. Before Captain Seth could grab the second pole, my son was already pulling up the first fish, a large red snapper. Out of season, bummer! That set the tone. We caught fish all day and ate a portion of it that night. The 5 of us on the boat all took turns at brining in Amber Jacks and we were able to keep the two biggest ones. More than once we had 3 poles with fish on at the same time. Two poles with fish on to many times to count. Seth was fun to be with. He was attentive and personable. It was a blast watching him help my daughter bring a large amber jack. It was a great day with my family and captain Seth. I will recommend him to my family and friends. A great way to spend the day away from the crowds. Loved it.
