About Your Trip

If you’re looking for a flexible, fish-filled adventure that puts you on the best bite of the day, this trip with Captain Joey is your go-to option. Based entirely on the Captain’s discretion, this trip isn’t locked into one location or target—it’s tailored to where the action is hot and what’s going to give you the best shot at success. Whether you’re brand new to fishing or a seasoned angler, this is the kind of trip that’s worth every penny.

Departing from Fort Walton Beach, you’ll hop aboard Captain Joey’s 24’ center console, a versatile and fully equipped boat built for navigating everything from the skinny flats to the open nearshore waters. With plenty of space for up to 6 anglers, it’s ideal for groups, families, or anyone ready to chase a variety of species on a customizable adventure.

Depending on what’s biting, your day could include flats, inshore, jetty, or nearshore fishing. Trips run for 4 to 6 hours, with morning and midday departures available at 6:00 AM or 11:30 AM. From sight casting to cruising schools of Redfish, to dropping baits near the jetties for Snapper and Sheepshead, or running nearshore for Mahi and Spanish Mackerel, Captain Joey adjusts the plan based on tides, conditions, and seasonal patterns.

You’ll use a variety of techniques including light and heavy tackle, jigging, trolling, bottom fishing, cut bait fishing, live bait fishing, and artificial lure fishing. It’s a hands-on trip designed to keep rods bent and the cooler filling up with potential catches like Redfish, Red Snapper, Flounder, Amberjack, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Mangrove Snapper, and many others depending on the time of year.

All gear is included, and live bait is provided, so just bring your snacks, sun protection, and a cooler for your cleaned catch. Yes, Captain Joey will clean and fillet your fish at the end of the day, so you’ll be heading home with fresh fillets ready for the grill or freezer. The trip is also kid-friendly, and you’re welcome to bring beer (no glass bottles, please) if you want to kick back while you fish.

Whether you're stalking fish on the flats or soaking bait near a structure offshore, this trip gives Captain Joey the freedom to put you where the fish are biting best. All you have to do is show up, cast out, and get ready to hook into something good.

Captain Joey did a great job helping us have a good time on our night bowfishing trip! Although we weren’t the best shots he continued to encourage and provide guidance until it finally paid off 😊. Definitely a highlight of our vacation!!!
