This family-friendly trip combines the thrill of offshore trolling in federal waters with the hands-on action of bottom fishing closer to shore. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or bringing the kids out for their first fishing adventure, this trip is the perfect way to experience the Gulf of Mexico’s incredible fisheries.

Your day kicks off by heading over 9 miles offshore to troll in federal waters, targeting fast and powerful species like Mahi-Mahi, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Tuna, and even Billfish. With heavy tackle rigs and expert setup, trolling is an exhilarating experience as you watch the rods bend and hear the reels scream when these predators strike. Captain Bob uses live bait, cut bait, and lures to ensure you’re ready for whatever bites.

After the offshore action, you’ll work your way back into state waters to bottom fish near reefs and wrecks. Here, you’ll have the chance to reel in hard-fighting and delicious species like Grouper, Red Snapper (in season), Triggerfish, Amberjack, Mangrove Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Almaco Jack, and more. Using a variety of techniques like jigging, drift fishing, and popping, this portion of the trip is all about staying engaged and having fun as you reel up fish after fish.

Seasonal migrations and regulations will determine the species available and what you can keep, but with Captain Bob’s local expertise, you’ll always be in the best spots to maximize your chances. At the end of the trip, Captain Bob will clean and bag your catch so you can take it home or have it prepared at a local restaurant.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and water or snacks you want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Captain Bob and Crew were awesome!!! We have been fishing many times and he offered a great boat, great service, and our best fishing experience in the Gulf so far! Multiple stops and he ensured that we caught our limit! My kids loved it! Great memories and great lunch and dinners!!!!!
