Spend a day out on Brazos river fishing for smallmouth or largemouth bass and blue catfish with Shane. Shane will share his intimate knowledge of fishing and paddle craft, as he provides you with the opportunity to fish for a wide variety of Texas' most popular fresh water game fish over the course of 8 hours. This trip is completely customizable to both you and current river conditions. Depending on the time of year, and species you would like to target, Shane will work with you to determine the best start time and location for the trip. All of Shane's kayaks are also completely customized for fishing on the Brazo's river with special fishing rigs and seats to keep you comfortable all day. You will depart Ocean Springs harbor around lunchtime on Day 1 for an approximately 75-minute ride in our 32 foot Twin Vee to the houseboat where you will arrive with plenty of time to unpack and fish until dusk. Days 2 & 3 will entail full days of fishing – we will pack you a boat lunch if you want to fish all day or you can come back to the houseboat for lunch and some rest. On day 4 you will be able to fish until approximately 10 am before heading back to Ocean Springs harbor. You will have full use of our skiffs which are brand new 2023 16ft ZCB Pelican poling skiffs. They have 25hp Suzuki engines with electric start and power trim/tilt. The lodge is comprised of three wood-frame floating structures moored together. The center barge houses a bunkhouse with four sets of bunk beds for eight guests, along with an enclosed head and shower. One outboard barge contains the galley where meals are prepared and served, plus a separate generator room. The other outboard barge houses the crew quarters along with a screened-in lounge area that offers a separate dining area. All three barges have 360° access with plenty of shade for relaxing with a cold drink and appetizer. The clear waters of the Chandeleur Islands offer some of the best light tackle fishing in the country. From traditional targets like speckled trout and redfish to seasonal catches like pompano, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jacks, cobia and the occasional tarpon, the fishing is simply superb. Read More

Spend five days and four nights out on Devil's River fishing for Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass with your guide, Shane. Shane will share his intimate knowledge of fishing and paddle craft, as he provides you with the opportunity to fish for a wide variety of Texas' most popular fresh water game fish. The Devil's River is one of the best Smallmouth Bass fisheries in Texas, and although it's an intense paddle, it's absolutely worth it. The trip will begin by meeting with Shane and his shuttle driver, JD, the first morning. JD will then take you and Shane to the river, where you'll launch by 8:30am and get started. You'll spend all day fishing, and enjoy a camp every night complete with meals and a cozy fire. Shane will take care of all of the gear and set up for camps and meals. The trip will end by once again meeting up with JD to take you back. All of Shane's kayaks are also completely customized for fishing, with special fishing rigs and seats to keep you comfortable for the entire trip.
