Booking a guide is also more cost effective, especially if you only get out a handful of times per year. We did the iguana hunt with Captain Chris. He met us on time, had the boat ready and we were on our way. He explained how the guns worked and how tough the iguanas were to shoot and kill. It takes a lot to kill one of them, but it was very thrilling and exciting to try to search them out in the trees, Figure out the best angle to shoot and take one down. Kind of a challenge because you’re in canals that are by houses and you want to make sure when you take a shot you’re not aiming at a person‘s home. Overall it was a great trip and we ended up getting four decent sized iguanas. Chris did a terrific job of talking about the area and answering any questions we had. Would highly recommend Captains Experiences.
