What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
Biggest fish is probably a 12 foot hammerhead shark I snagged on a snook rod.
I think biggest fish on smallest equipment is a better measure, it's really fun to match the tackle to the fish, then any fish is fun.
My most proud catch is a 44.5" Snook, that's my personal best from 2011.
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
Rabbit and hope they like it, because it's one of my favorite right there with steak and grouper or other flakey white fish.
Sheepshead is a really underrated eating and fighting fish in Florida, probably the most underrated.
What’s your favorite band?
Green Day, Metallica, Beatles
What’s your favorite movie?
Pulp Fiction
What’s your favorite sports team?
I don't really follow sports any more as I used to be a die hard when I was younger. Now I find more satisfaction in playing the sport than watching. But i like certain athletes, Brett Favre was my favorite athlete to watch!
What’s your drink of choice?
Mojito and all of them in good company and at the right time. I don't drink on the boat ever but allow clients to responsibly.
What was your last halloween costume?
I don't do that, but would try if I had a good idea.
What do you want for Christmas this year?
Minimalist. But I'd take a 100 foot Yacht
How did you get started guiding?
Began going to Boca Grande to our beach home each weekend fishing with Dad as a kid. I was in Love with Boca Grande, it's my favorite place in the world still. I built my first fishing website in 1999 and picked up an ever more killer domain in 2010 to kick off the business with the name I wanted. Eventually started taking family and friends a lot and I started to fish a lot on my own at night each weekend and loved it. I started to have a lot of success after spending tons of time on the water alone. I saw others struggling with tarpon and snook and was catching more tarpon and bigger snook, and at the same time had a few people refer trips to me. I quickly got the USCG Captain's license and registered the company so I could be official and now we continue to expand with big expansions in 2018 and 2024. And while we specialize in Boca Grande I am opening up to locations all over Florida for Tarpon fishing and then sportfishing all over the world will be next.
What makes you different from other guides?
I know the value of money and how excited clients are and I want them to be thrilled, I do whatever it takes for them to enjoy their vacation. Obsessed, meticulous and I specialize only on Tarpon, Snook fishing and know these fish inside and out, although Permit are also a personal favorite. I am from the Greek island Crete and a Boca Grande native, so I grew up on islands surrounded by water and fishing is in my heritage.
