About Your Trip

Get ready for an unforgettable day of fishing in Port Charlotte with Captain Tim! With years of experience on these waters, Captain Tim knows exactly where to go to get you on the fish. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to the sport, he’ll ensure that he does everything possible so that you can have an exciting and successful trip.

Port Charlotte is a fishing paradise, and you’ll have the chance to target an
incredible variety of species. From the hard-fighting Jack Crevalle to the ever-popular Snook and Redfish, there’s plenty to keep your rod bent. Depending on the season and conditions, you might also reel in Black Drum, Cobia, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, or even go toe-to-toe with a shark species like Blacktip, Bull, Hammerhead, or Nurse Shark. And if you’re visiting during Tarpon season, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of hooking the “Silver King!”

On this trip, you’ll primarily be bottom fishing with light or heavy tackle, but Captain Tim can also mix in techniques like jigging or spinning if the bite calls for it. He’ll guide you through everything to make sure you’re set up for success, whether you’re fishing inshore flats, exploring backcountry waters, or heading to nearshore reefs and wrecks.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 25’ center console, a reliable and spacious vessel that comfortably accommodates up to six passengers. It’s equipped with all the essentials for a great day on the water, including a convenient onboard toilet to ensure your comfort throughout the trip. The boat is perfectly suited for navigating both inshore and nearshore hotspots, giving you the flexibility to chase down a wide range of fish.

Captain Tim provides all the gear you’ll need, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Live bait is also available—just check with the captain to confirm before your trip. Your fishing license is covered by the charter, so all you need to do is show up ready to fish! Captain Tim will also clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip, so you can take it home and enjoy a fresh seafood feast.

Keep in mind that some species may have special rules or limited seasons, but Captain Tim is well-versed in local regulations and will ensure you’re fishing responsibly and legally. Just bring your favorite snacks, drinks, and a great attitude, and let Captain Tim show you why Port Charlotte is a top-tier fishing destination.
