About Your Trip

Head out with Captain Eric to explore the back bays and shallow flats of Southwest Florida for a laid-back day of inshore fishing. These calm, protected waters are perfect for anglers of all skill levels, and Captain Eric will guide you through some of his favorite spots where inshore fish love to feed.

You’ll be fishing from his 17.5’ Sterling flats boat, a clean and shallow-draft skiff built for sneaking into tight spots along the
mangroves and grass flats. The boat is ideal for two anglers, though it can also accommodate a third if you’re bringing a kid along.

Depending on the time of year and conditions, you might find Snook holding in the shadows, Redfish pushing across the flats, or Speckled Trout and Black Drum feeding deeper in the bays. Jack Crevalle often show up for fast action, and Tarpon are an occasional highlight when they roll through the area.

All licenses, rods, reels, tackle, and bait—both artificial and live—are included, so you can just step aboard and start fishing. Captain Eric will also clean your catch at the end of the trip if you’d like to take fresh fillets home for dinner. Trips are available both day and night, giving you flexibility to fish when it works best for your schedule.

Whether you’re looking to learn the ropes inshore, spend some quality time on the water, or just enjoy a relaxed day of fishing, Captain Eric’s back bay trips are a great way to experience the variety and beauty of Florida’s coastal waters.
