You will fish from 10 miles off the coast to up to 100 miles, farther than the competition goes, and it’s our mission to put you and your crew on the fish. We’ve regularly catch snapper, grouper, permit, and cobia, and deliver an unforgettable experience as the best fishing charter on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Captain Tanner's offshore boat is a 2016 Cape Horn 31T that is an overall length of 31 feet and 6 inches. The 31T is a fishing beast that features plenty of room for you and all your buddies to enjoy a great day on the water. Equipped with Twin 300 Yamahas, the boat cruises at 40 MPH, greatly reducing travel time to the best waters around. She comes loaded with all the rods, reels, tackle, bait, cooler, ice, and fishing licenses. All you need to bring is your favorite snacks and drinks, and Captain Tanner will take care of the rest!

To make that happen, you’ll need two things — a reliable boat you can depend on, and a captain who knows where to go, when to go, and what to expect when you arrive.

At his charters, Captain Tanner has spent more than a decade on the waters around Marco Island, Florida. During that time, he’s gone farther out into the oceans than the competition in order to deliver the best Florida Gulf fishing charters. A combination of expertise and GPS spots he’s discovered means that, when you’re with Captain Tanner, you won’t just be fishing. You’ll be catching some of the monster fish that simply aren’t found close to shore. Plus, his signature voyage is snapper fishing at night, and when you embark on this eight-hour adventure, you’re sure to experience some killer fishing. He has a USCG 6-Pack OUPV license, a Reef & Pelagic Permit, and a Charter Captain License and insurance.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
