About Your Trip

Hop on board with Captain Nick for an action-packed day of fly fishing in the Louisiana inshores! Delacroix provides easy access to productive marshes and bays perfect for catching some tasty Gulf fish on the fly.

On this 6-hour trip, Captain Nick will guide you through the vast marsh land and bayous that New Orleans, Delacroix, and St. Bernard have to offer as you watch cranes and other migratory birds fly up from the grassline
and alligators storm off their perch on the bank while on your way to your fishing destination. He will put you in the best location to fish the rich marshes of the Louisiana delta for reel-stripping gamefish!

Once the destination has been reached, Captain Nick will demonstrate numerous tips and strategies to make sure that you catch fish. You'll be fly fishing for Black Drum, Flounder, Freshwater Drum, Largemouth Bass, Redfish, and Speckled Trout. Captain Nick will make sure you and your guests are well taken care of and get to experience a trip of a lifetime!

You'll be aboard a 24' Blazer Boats center console with capacity for 2 guests. Powered by a 250 HP Mercury engine, this vessel is designed for traversing the inshores and will do it with ease! She comes equipped with a Minn-Kota trolling motor, dual Power-Poles and a Kenwood sound system to make your day on the water productive and enjoyable.

Captain Nick will provide all rods and reels, terminal tackle, live and/or dead bait, fuel, fish cleaning and bagging. All you need to bring is a Louisiana fishing License, any food or drinks you may need, sunscreen and bug spray, appropriate clothing and an ice chest to bring home your catch. Come aboard with Captain Nick and come home with some tasty meals!

Captain Nick's outfit is located a quick 30 minutes away from downtown New Orleans which makes this excursion an easy addition to your New Orleans trip or an excuse to explore the delicious food and rich culture of the Big Eazy while staying with Captain Nick's outfit. Lodging accommodations are available for up to 24 guests as well, with full kitchens, bathrooms, showers, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a balcony overlooking the bayou... just right for enjoying the catch of the day and a few cold ones!

All rods and reels, terminal tackle, live and or dead bait, fuel, fish cleaning and bagging included. Food can be provided for a fee.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
