Cancun Offshore - 31’ Bertram

Awesome inshore/nearshore trip. Great action and a wide arrange of species. Captain and crew did an amazing job at getting me on fish and walking me through techniques. Highly recommend this trip.

My Son and I booked a trip with Cesar and 1st Mate Gus. Fantastic fishing in tough conditions. Very knowledgable, skilled and friendly Guides. We will be back!

Overall, a good trip. Confusion on the start time of our trip. On the website we selected a 6AM start time. The night before I confirmed the 6AM time and was told that the start time would be 7AM. We arrived at around 6:45AM and text Travis that we were ...Read More at the arranged location. He text back stating that he got mixed up and thought we were booked for 8AM (even though less than 12 hours ago he had changed the booked 6AM time to 7AM). We were finally off at about 7:40ish with Caesar, our Captain, and his deckhand. The first part of our trip was spent fishing for larger fish. We got in to 4 fish which may have been too large for our tackle as all four came off (broken line) but the fight was fun, anyway. We then moved in more shallow water and had a good time catching Queen Trigger, Grouper, Jack and Snapper. The last fish of the day was an enormous fish that we didn’t make any progress on and we eventually had to break off On the way back we ran out of gas. Thankfully there was a panga nearby that sold our Captain gasoline so that we could make it back. Overall, we had a good time.

We had a great experience with Captain Miguel and crew on the Christine 1. Prompt departure with all the gear ready to go. We caught bait fish to start and then tried our luck for larger species. At one point there were 4 of our group members reeling in a ...Read More catch!

Water, soda and beer were included. There was a bathroom available and a nice covered area to stay out of the sun. Captain Travis was also prompt in communications prior to the trip to confirm details and provide instructions for our outing.

I would highly recommend and hope to return for another trip in the future for a trophy catch!

The trip was amazing. They don’t lie when they say you don’t come in unless you catch a fish. I took my 8 year old. We trolled deep see for 5 hrs had 2 separate 100 to 150lb sailfish attacking the bait. Unfortunately no hook set but no worries. Travis ...Read More and the guys took us closer inshore for an hour on the way back and my son reeled in 2 big triggerfish 2 yellow snapper a barracuda and an amberjack. So finishing stony with 6 fish and seeing the two sailfish chasing the bait was awesome. Not to mention your catching live bait pretty much the whole time.
