About Your Trip

Charleston is a fisherman's paradise, and there's no better guide to these skinny backwaters and inshore flats that Captain Adam! He's been fishing here for years, and is a pro when it comes to fly fishing for Redfish, which are his specialty.
The clear water and grassy habitat here is ideal for big Redfish, which love to feed on shrimp, crabs, small fish, and more, depending on the season. Captain Adam will help ensure that
you're throwing the perfect fly for the conditions, and he can also offer helpful tips to perfect your presentation and get you hooked up on that personal best!

You'll be fishing from Captain Adam's 17' Beavertail skiff. She's an ideal boat for maneuvering through the tidal back bays and flooded marshes around Folly Beach, and has a shallow draft to give you access to the skinniest water. She also sports a 60-HP Suzuki, so you'll be off the dock and on the fish ion just minutes. Once you're in the right spot, Captain Adam will maneuver you around so you can post up in just inches of water where the tails and scales will be obvious!

Captain Adam will provide you with all the equipment you need, including flies, rods, and reels. All you need to bring is proper clothing, a cooler for snacks and drinks, your SC Saltwater Fishing License, and sunblock. Also, be sure to have polarized sunglasses and a camera to capture the memories!

Adam was great. This was my first time fly fishing for reds. He did a wonderful job coaching me through the trip. His boat and gear are top notch. Definitely going to return.

We had a great time with Adam! He was very knowledgeable about fishing in the area. It was a very tough day for fishing but we really enjoyed being on the river.

Great time! Took my 12 yo out for few hours and Adam was extremely knowledgeable. Boat was in great condition and felt safe throughout the trip. We will definitely return in the fall!
