Whether you want to get out early in the morning to watch the sunrise or later in the afternoon to watch the sun set, it makes for a peaceful slow paced day. Our guides will drop you off at the time you desire and you can choose to sit for a couple of hours or all day if you’d like to. With this option there is a very good possibility that you’ll see a few of the other species of game we have at the ranch as well. Some of these species include whitetail deer, red stag, axis deer, other exotics, and much more. So if you are looking for a relaxing day in the woods, then this is the hunt is for you. Thermal Hunts: Thermal hunting is one of the most productive ways to hunt for wild boar esp in the Florida heat. It has really gained popularity and the last few years with advancements in technology in thermal equipment available to citizens. Our rifles are equipped with pulsar XP50 scopes and we carry pulsar axion Xm30 handheld units which make scanning easier. They make spotting would boar at night a game changer. On this hunt we will ride the property on a Kawasaki mule with absolutely no lights on, just thermals. Once a hog is spotted we will sneak up on foot to within around 100 yds typically and take a shot. Our scopes have recording abilities so you can record your hunt and download the footage right to your hunt so you’ll have a hunt that you can share. Cruising around Ian's property in a swamp buggy under the cover of provides for an exhilarating challenge. We recommend any caliber from .223 to a .30-.06, however the weapon of choice on our swamp buggy hunts is a .223 A/R platform with a thermal scope. We also offer loaner weaponry at no charge, although there is a charge for ammunition. Ian and his team provide private hunts for each party, and on his high fence ranch you are almost guaranteed a successful hunt. Lodging and meals are not included in this package, but check out Ian's other listings if interested in an overnight stay. On a typical hunt you will arrive, meet the guides, go through a 30 minute safety briefing and set the expectations for the hunt. Then you will head to Ian’s full service rifle range to test their aim before embarking on their adventure, which typically lasts around 4 hours but can go longer depending on the success of the hunt. You can expect to shoot hogs from 50-100 yards. You are sure to get a hog on hundreds of acres, either free range hunt or other property with rife, bow, or spear with dogs, you chose.
