If you've been looking to do some classic Texas fishing and beat the summer heat in Port Isabel, Texas, look no further than this trip with Captain Michael! He's a pro when it comes to fishing the Laguna Madre, and he knows how to put you on the big ones! Whether you're an experienced angler, a greenhorn looking to learn more, or a vacationer looking to spice up your summer travels, you'll have a blast out there.

When you're fishing with Captain Michael aboard his 20' Shallow Stalker skiff, you'll be aiming for the "Texas Triple" or the "Texas Slam"—both names for when you catch a Flounder, a Redfish, and a Speckled Trout in one day! You can also expect to hook Black Drum and Sheepshead, both of which share habitat with Redfish. Generally, you'll be fishing shrimp on popping corks, which really attract big surface bites. Be ready, because you never know which bite is going to be your personal record!

Captain Michael's shallow-draft skiff is ideal for fishing in these clear waters. She's powered by a brand-new 150-HP Suzuki, so you'll have no problem getting out to where the fish are. Michael provides everything you need for a great trip, so just bring some sunscreen, a cooler with some snacks and drinks, and your Texas saltwater fishing license and you'll be good to go!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
