Located an hour and a half south of New Orleans, launching from Cocodrie with Captain Lane you can get some serious fishing done on some of the most productive water the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. On this trip, you'll be chasing big-time fish, so bring your A-game!

You will leave early in the morning aboard his 42' Freeman catamaran and will travel anywhere 20 to 60 miles offshore to chase pelagics species such as Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, and many more! These fish are the premier species in the Gulf of Mexico, and are world-famous for their intense fights, trophy potential, and great taste! To hook up some truly champion fish, you'll be trolling various depths with live baits, skirted baits, and ballyhoo. These classic bluewater baits are guaranteed to bring in trophy-sized fish, so you can go home with a personal best!

Captain Lane's fishing vessel is truly unique. She's a 42' Freeman catamaran, purpose-built for offshore sportfishing, with 1200 horsepower and a full suite of creature comforts. Plus, this trip comes fully loaded with all the rods, reels, bait, tackle, coolers, lounging space, and bean bags to ensure a comfortable experience. All you have to bring is your Louisiana fishing license, your sunscreen, and a good attitude, and Captain Lane and his crew will take care of the rest!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
